Purpose of the Role

This Senior Java, Low Latency role is working on a really exciting ‘greenfield’ project in a global bank that is revamping low latency, algo-trading software application.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance trading applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
• Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Optimize trading algorithms for low latency and high throughput.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java.
• Proven experience in high-frequency trading systems and/or Algo Trading
• In-depth knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput systems.
• A passion for financial markets and trading algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Any experience with Chronicle Queue, Aeron and an understanding of JVM tuning for low latency.
